Semyonova was born in the city of Tula in Russia. She studied art at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. She experimented with different styles and techniques, including cubism, fauvism and primitivism. She is known for her bright colors, dynamic brushstrokes and use of fairytale motifs. Her work combines traditional Russian folk art with modernist influences.
